A detailed day-by-day journey through Morocco's most breathtaking landscapes.

Day 1

Casablanca → Rabat

Your Moroccan adventure begins with pickup in Casablanca. After meeting your private driver, visit some of Casablanca's most important landmarks, including the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of Morocco's most spectacular religious monuments, beautifully positioned beside the Atlantic Ocean. Continue toward Rabat, Morocco's elegant capital city. Explore the historic Kasbah of the Udayas, the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Your private driver will allow time for photographs and relaxed sightseeing throughout the day. Rabat combines royal history, Andalusian influences and a charming coastal atmosphere, making it an excellent introduction to Morocco. In the afternoon, check into your riad or hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Day 2

Rabat → Chefchaouen

After breakfast, leave Rabat and travel north toward the Rif Mountains and the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen. The journey takes you through changing Moroccan landscapes, with green countryside gradually giving way to the dramatic mountain scenery of northern Morocco. Upon arrival, explore the famous blue-painted medina at your own pace. Wander through narrow lanes decorated with colorful doors, flower pots and traditional Moroccan details. Visit the lively Plaza Uta el-Hammam, explore the historic Kasbah and enjoy panoramic views from the Spanish Mosque. Chefchaouen is one of Morocco's most photogenic destinations and offers a peaceful atmosphere very different from the larger imperial cities. Take time to enjoy local cafés, artisan shops and the unique mountain setting.

Day 3

Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknes → Fes

After breakfast, depart Chefchaouen and continue toward Fes, with fascinating historical stops along the way. First, visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, where impressive mosaics, columns and archaeological remains reveal the importance of this Roman settlement in North Africa. Continue to the holy town of Moulay Idriss, nestled dramatically among green hills. Afterward, travel to Meknes, one of Morocco's four imperial cities. Explore highlights such as Bab Mansour, the monumental imperial gate, the old medina and the historic granaries and stables of the city. Continue to Fes in the afternoon. After checking into your traditional riad, you can relax or take an evening walk around the atmospheric surroundings of the old city.

Day 4

Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga

Today begins with an exciting journey toward the Sahara Desert. Leave Fes and cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, often called the "Switzerland of Morocco" because of its Alpine-style architecture and cool mountain climate. Continue through the cedar forests around Azrou, where you may have the opportunity to see Barbary macaques. The road then leads toward Midelt, known for its apples and spectacular mountain scenery. Continue through the dramatic Ziz Valley, where a winding river creates a green oasis surrounded by rugged landscapes. As you approach Merzouga, the scenery changes dramatically and the golden Erg Chebbi dunes appear on the horizon. Arrive in the desert in time for your Sahara experience. Enjoy a camel trek toward your desert camp and watch the sunset over the dunes.

~470 km Sahara Desert Camp Breakfast & dinner
Day 5

Merzouga: Sahara Desert Experience

Wake early to witness one of Morocco's most unforgettable moments: sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast at the camp, return to Merzouga and begin a fascinating exploration of the surrounding desert region. Visit traditional nomadic communities and learn about life in the Sahara, then discover the seasonal landscapes around the desert. Depending on local conditions, you may visit the area around Lake Dayet Srij and explore villages influenced by Morocco's African musical heritage. You can also experience sandboarding on the dunes or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Sahara. In the afternoon, return toward the dunes and enjoy free time to relax and take photographs. As evening arrives, admire another spectacular desert sunset before enjoying dinner and traditional music around the campfire.

~40 km Merzouga Breakfast & dinner
Day 6

Merzouga → Rissani → Erfoud → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley

After breakfast, leave the Sahara behind and begin your journey through some of southeastern Morocco's most spectacular landscapes. Your first stop is Rissani, an important historic trading town and gateway to the desert. If the local market is operating, you can explore its lively souk filled with spices, dates, handicrafts and traditional products. Continue to Erfoud, famous for its fossils and beautifully crafted stone products. From here, travel through the dramatic landscapes toward the Todra Gorge, where enormous limestone cliffs rise on both sides of the narrow valley. Enjoy time to walk through this impressive natural setting and take photographs. Continue through the palm-filled oasis landscapes toward the Dades Valley. The road offers beautiful views of rugged mountains, kasbahs and traditional villages.

~300 km Dades Valley Breakfast
Day 7

Dades Valley → Valley of Roses → Skoura → Ouarzazate → Aït Ben Haddou → Marrakech

After breakfast, continue your journey through the scenic Valley of Roses, known for its fragrant rose fields and traditional kasbahs. Travel onward to Skoura, an oasis surrounded by palm groves and historic earthen kasbahs. Continue to Ouarzazate, often called the "Gateway to the Sahara" and famous for its film studios and desert landscapes. From here, visit Aït Ben Haddou, Morocco's best-known fortified ksar and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its narrow streets, traditional mud-brick architecture and panoramic viewpoints. After your visit, continue across the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass. The winding mountain road provides breathtaking views and opportunities for photographs.
