4-Day Morocco Desert Tour from Agadir to Merzouga & MarrakechCoast to Sahara, one-way from Agadir to Marrakech

Your private driver will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Agadir in the morning. Leaving the Atlantic coast behind, you will travel through the Souss Valley toward Taroudant, a traditional Moroccan town surrounded by historic walls. Enjoy a short stop to explore the town and take photographs before continuing inland.

The journey takes you toward Taliouine, a region known for saffron cultivation. Along the way, you will pass small villages, agricultural areas and the rocky landscapes of southern Morocco. Your driver can arrange stops for lunch, refreshments and photographs whenever time allows.

In the afternoon, continue toward Ouarzazate, where the scenery becomes increasingly dry and mountainous. Upon arrival, check into your hotel or riad and enjoy some free time to relax after the journey.

Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to take a short walk around Ouarzazate before dinner.

After breakfast, leave Ouarzazate and travel south toward Agdz, where the landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the palm groves of the Draa Valley create a beautiful setting for the journey. Continue through traditional villages and rocky desert scenery toward Nkob, a small town known for its old kasbahs.

The road then takes you through Alnif, where you can stop for lunch before continuing toward the Sahara. As you travel farther east, the landscape becomes more open, with dry plains, distant mountains and small desert settlements along the way.

In the afternoon, arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. After a short rest, meet your camel guide and begin your ride across the golden sand. Stop to watch the sunset before continuing to your desert camp.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and music around the campfire. Spend some time beneath the desert sky before retiring to your private tent.

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast at the desert camp, return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 and meet your driver for the journey toward the Dades Valley.

Travel through Rissani, a traditional town known for its local market, before continuing toward Erfoud. Along the way, you will pass desert landscapes, small villages and palm groves as you leave the Sahara behind.

Continue toward Tinghir and Todra Gorge, where you will have time to walk through the canyon and admire its towering rock walls. Enjoy lunch in the area before continuing through the surrounding valleys toward Dades.

In the afternoon, arrive in the Dades Valley. Depending on your arrival time, your driver can take you to a viewpoint overlooking the winding mountain roads and unusual rock formations.

Afterwards, check into your hotel or riad and enjoy dinner in the peaceful surroundings of the valley.

After breakfast, leave the Dades Valley and travel through the Valley of Roses toward Skoura and Ouarzazate. Along the way, you will pass small villages, palm groves and traditional kasbahs, with opportunities to stop for photographs.

Continue toward Aït Ben Haddou, a historic fortified village known for its traditional earthen buildings and narrow passages. Take time to walk through the old ksar, explore its streets and enjoy the views over the surrounding valley.

After lunch, begin the journey across the High Atlas Mountains toward Marrakech. The road follows the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, offering views of mountain villages, valleys and changing landscapes along the way. Your driver can arrange short stops at viewpoints when road conditions and time allow. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening, where your driver will drop you off at your hotel, riad or another agreed location in the city.
