3-Day Desert Tour from Rabat to Merzouga & MarrakechA Sahara escape from the capital, ending in Marrakech

Your private driver will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Rabat early in the morning. Leave the capital behind and travel toward the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through changing countryside and mountain landscapes on the way to Ifrane.

Continue toward Midelt, where you can stop for lunch before traveling south through the Ziz Valley. Along the way, enjoy views of rocky mountains, traditional villages and palm groves as the landscape gradually becomes drier.

In the late afternoon or evening, arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. If you reach the desert before sunset, meet your camel guide and ride across the sand toward your camp. After arrival, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and an evening beneath the Sahara sky.

Please note: Rabat to Merzouga is a very long driving day. Arrival before sunset cannot be guaranteed, particularly during winter. If you arrive after dark, a 4×4 transfer to the camp can be arranged instead of the sunset camel ride.

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast at the desert camp, return to Merzouga by camel or 4×4 and meet your driver for the journey toward the Dades Valley.

Travel through Rissani, a traditional town known for its local market, before continuing toward Erfoud. As you leave the desert behind, the road passes through small villages, palm groves and rocky landscapes.

Continue toward Tinghir and Todra Gorge, where you will have time to walk between the canyon's towering rock walls and enjoy the scenery. After lunch, travel through the surrounding valleys toward Dades.

In the afternoon, arrive at your hotel or riad in the Dades Valley. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to visit a viewpoint overlooking the valley's winding roads and unusual rock formations.

Enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening at your accommodation.

After breakfast, leave the Dades Valley and travel through the Valley of Roses toward Skoura and Ouarzazate. Along the way, you will pass traditional villages, palm groves and old kasbahs, with opportunities to stop for photographs.

Continue toward Aït Ben Haddou, a historic fortified village built from traditional earthen materials. Take time to explore its narrow passages, walk among the old buildings and enjoy the views over the surrounding landscape.

After lunch, begin the journey across the High Atlas Mountains toward Marrakech. The road follows the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, with mountain scenery and small villages along the way. Your driver can arrange short stops at viewpoints when conditions allow.

Arrive in Marrakech in the evening, where your driver will drop you off at your hotel, riad or another agreed location in the city.
